What Karate is

Karate is an open-source test automation framework covering API testing, UI automation, performance testing and mocks in one syntax. Tests are written as feature files made of scenarios. Assertions use the match keyword. Data-driven tests draw their inputs from example rows. Features, scenarios and example rows can run in parallel. Documented protocols include GraphQL, SOAP and WebSocket. Features can call other features for reuse. Tests run through JUnit, the command line or the Karate CLI, including in CI/CD pipelines.
