What Nightwatch.js is
Nightwatch is an integrated testing framework built on Node.js and the W3C WebDriver API. It is developed at BrowserStack. It targets end-to-end tests of web applications and websites. Component testing mounts React, Vue, Angular or Storybook components in isolation in the browser. It also runs Node.js unit tests, visual regression tests, accessibility tests and API tests. Native mobile app testing on Android and iOS runs through Appium. Accessibility checks come from a bundled aXe-core plugin aimed at WCAG compliance. Setup starts with npm init nightwatch, which asks about the test runner, browsers and test location, then copies example tests into the project.
