What Taiko is
Taiko is a Node.js library for browser automation from the team behind Gauge. It automates Chromium-based browsers such as Chrome, Microsoft Edge and Opera, as well as Firefox. It runs on Windows, macOS and Linux. An interactive recorder REPL turns executed commands into a JavaScript test script. Selectors find elements by visible text or proximity, and CSS and XPath selectors are also supported. The API waits implicitly for XHR requests and dynamic content. An intercept API blocks, redirects or stubs network requests. Scripts run headless by default.
