What Playwright for Python is
Playwright for Python is a Python library that automates Chromium, Firefox and WebKit through one API. All three browsers are supported on Linux, macOS and Windows. Scripts can use a synchronous API or an asyncio-based asynchronous API. The documentation names the Playwright Pytest plugin as its route for end-to-end tests. Tests then run with pytest, headless on Chromium by default. The installation guide lists Python 3.8 or later. Playwright also has versions for Node.js, .NET and Java.
