What Robot Framework is
Robot Framework is a generic automation framework used for acceptance testing, ATDD and robotic process automation (RPA). Tests and tasks use a plain text syntax built from keywords. Generic and custom libraries extend it. Python is its implementation language and the primary language for extensions. It is independent of operating system and application. It requires Python 3.8 or newer and also runs on PyPy. The robot command runs test files or directories from the command line. The rebot tool combines results and post-processes output files.
