What Codeception is

Codeception is a full-stack testing framework for PHP. It covers acceptance, functional and unit tests. Its test style is inspired by BDD. Tests are written in PHP as a sequence of actor steps, such as opening a page, clicking links, submitting forms and checking database records. It can also run existing PHPUnit tests. Installation is through Composer or a downloadable PHAR archive. The `codecept bootstrap` command creates a default directory layout and test suites. The `codecept run` command executes the tests.
