What Splinter is
Splinter is a Python library that provides a consistent API for automating web applications. It supports several automation drivers: Selenium, Django, Flask and ZopeTestBrowser. Tests open a Browser object, visit pages, find elements by name, fill fields and click buttons. Lower-level tools stay accessible, so scripts can switch to raw Selenium when needed. The pytest-splinter plugin integrates it with the pytest runner. The Stere package adds page object support.
