What Ginkgo is
Ginkgo is a testing framework for Go that builds on the standard testing package. Specs use a BDD-style DSL with nestable Describe, Context and When containers, BeforeEach and AfterEach setup nodes, and It subject nodes. It pairs with the Gomega matcher library for synchronous and asynchronous assertions. Specs can run in randomized order and in parallel. Labels and filters select subsets of specs from code or the command line. The ginkgo CLI generates, runs, filters and profiles suites. Its watch command reruns specs when source files change. Reports can be produced in machine-readable formats or through custom reporters.
