What Mocha is

Mocha is a JavaScript test framework that runs on Node.js and in the browser. Tests run serially, and uncaught exceptions are mapped to the test cases that raised them. Supported interfaces include BDD (the default), TDD, Exports, QUnit and Require. Reporters include Spec (the default), JSON, HTML and Markdown. The framework supports asynchronous tests, hooks, global fixtures, root hook plugins, retries and timeouts. A parallel mode is also documented. The project is maintained by volunteers.
