What Jasmine is

Jasmine is a behavior-driven development testing framework for JavaScript. It has no dependency on browsers, the DOM or any JavaScript framework. That independence lets it run in websites, Node.js projects or any other JavaScript environment. Tests are written as specs grouped into suites. The project tests each release against Node and against Safari, Chrome, Firefox and Microsoft Edge. Other browsers and versions may work but are not tested or actively supported. Release notes list the environments each version supports.
