What Pest is
Pest is a testing framework for PHP, presented in its README as serving both developers and AI agents. The installation guide lists PHP 8.4 or later as a requirement. Pest is added to a project with Composer, initialised with the --init flag and run through vendor/bin/pest. A drift plugin converts existing PHPUnit tests to Pest syntax. A separate browser plugin adds browser testing.
