What TestNG is
TestNG is a Java testing framework inspired by JUnit and NUnit. Its documentation says it covers unit, functional, end-to-end and integration tests. Documented features include annotations, execution in configurable thread pools, data-driven tests with @DataProvider, test parameters and dependent methods. Eclipse, IntelliJ IDEA, Maven and Gradle can run TestNG tests, and tests can also run from a shell. Running TestNG requires Java 11 or later.
