What Spock is
Spock is a BDD-style testing and specification framework for Java and Groovy applications. Version 2.x runs on the JUnit Platform and requires Java 8 or later with Groovy 2.5 or later. Maven Central releases are built in separate variants for each Groovy version from 2.5 to 5.0. The spock-core module is the only mandatory dependency. Optional modules integrate with the Spring TestContext Framework, Guice, Tapestry 5 and Unitils. Published jars declare automatic module names for use on the Java 9+ module path. Sample specs can run in the browser through the Groovy Web Console.
