What sitespeed.io is
sitespeed.io is an open source tool for measuring web performance. It drives a real Firefox, Chrome, Edge or Safari browser, including Safari on an iPhone and Android phones over USB. Each run collects Core Web Vitals, video and visual metrics, a HAR waterfall, CPU and long-task data, and the Coach's advice. Results appear in an HTML report. It runs as a CLI installed from npm or as a Docker image that bundles Firefox, Chrome and Edge. Documented uses include one-off page audits, CI regression tests with performance budgets, and scheduled monitoring. Monitoring runs can send metrics to Graphite or InfluxDB for Grafana dashboards.
