What Chaos Mesh is
Chaos Mesh is a cloud-native chaos engineering platform for Kubernetes and a CNCF incubating project. Experiments are Kubernetes custom resources, managed through the Kubernetes API with standard tooling and RBAC. Fault types include pod, network, DNS and HTTP faults, along with I/O, time, stress, kernel, block device, JVM and physical machine faults. AWS, Azure and GCP faults are also supported. Schedule, Workflow and StatusCheck resources handle recurring experiments, serial or parallel workflows and health checks. An optional dashboard offers a web UI and HTTP API for managing experiments. A controller manager coordinates injection, while a DaemonSet performs node-level operations. A management cluster can dispatch experiments to remote clusters. Installation uses Helm.
