What Hoverfly is
Hoverfly is an API simulation tool for development and testing. It builds simulations of the APIs an application depends on, standing in for slow or flaky dependencies. Simulations can inject network latency, random failures or rate limits for edge-case testing. Simulations can be exported, edited, shared and imported. Extensions and customisation can be written in any programming language. Hoverfly offers a CLI, a REST API and native language bindings for Java. A hosted service, Hoverfly Cloud, provides API simulations as a service.
