What @faker-js/faker is
The @faker-js/faker package is a JavaScript library that generates fake but realistic data for testing and development. Its modules cover people, locations, dates, finance, commerce, numbers and strings. Localized instances draw names, addresses and phone numbers from more than 70 locales. Where a locale lacks data, the prebuilt instances fall back to English. The helpers.fake method combines API calls through a mustache-style template string. Setting a seed makes generated sequences reproducible. The package installs from npm as a development dependency and loads through ESM or CommonJS.
