What Mockoon is
Mockoon is a tool for designing and running mock APIs locally, without remote deployment or an account. A desktop application designs and runs mock servers. A CLI self-hosts the mocks in headless environments and CI. Route definitions control HTTP methods, status codes, regex paths, file serving and custom headers. It supports OpenAPI, JSON templating, HTTPS and a proxy forwarding mode. Incoming and forwarded requests are recorded in logs. The CLI ships as an NPM package and as a Docker image, which the project documents for serverless environments. A subscription service, Mockoon Cloud, adds cloud deployments and team collaboration.
