What Faker is
Faker is a Python library for generating fake data such as names, addresses and text. Documented uses include seeding databases, building XML documents, stress testing persistence layers and anonymizing production data. A Faker() generator exposes one method per data type. Data types are grouped into providers, and extra providers can be added. Passing a locale, or a list of locales, returns localized values. A seed() method reproduces the same data set across runs. The package ships a pytest plugin that provides a faker fixture. A faker command-line tool prints generated values. Current versions support Python 3.8 and above.
