What Testcontainers for Go is
Testcontainers for Go is a Go package that starts and removes container-based dependencies for automated integration and smoke tests. Tests declare the containers they need in code, and the package removes those resources once the test ends. The quickstart starts a Redis container through testcontainers.Run. Options such as WithExposedPorts and WithWaitStrategy set port mappings and readiness checks. Containers are cleaned up with testcontainers.CleanupContainer. The package works with the standard go test tooling.
