What Capybara is
Capybara is a Ruby library for testing web applications by simulating how a user interacts with them. It does not depend on a particular driver. Rack::Test and Selenium support is built in, and WebKit is available through an external gem. Tests can switch between a headless backend and a real browser without code changes. It integrates with Cucumber, RSpec, Test::Unit, Minitest and Minitest::Spec. Its DSL covers navigation, clicking, forms, querying, finding, scoping, windows and modals. Rails and Rack applications work without extra setup. Built-in synchronization waits for asynchronous page updates. It requires Ruby 3.0.0 or later and installs as a gem.
