What Tsung is

Tsung is a distributed load testing tool for IP-based client/server applications. It can load HTTP, WebDAV and SOAP services, PostgreSQL and MySQL databases, LDAP, MQTT, AMQP and Jabber/XMPP. It is developed in Erlang and built on Erlang OTP. One machine can simulate many simultaneous users, and the load can also be spread across a cluster of machines. Tests are configured in a tsung.xml file. The user manual also documents a proxy recorder, server monitoring, and statistics and reports.
