What Artillery is
Artillery is a load testing tool that can distribute test runs on AWS Lambda or AWS Fargate. It supports load tests driven by headless browsers through Playwright. Supported protocols include HTTP, WebSocket, Socket.io, gRPC and Kinesis. Workloads model user behaviour with request chains, multiple steps and transactions. Integrations cover monitoring, observability and CI/CD. A plugin API allows extending and customizing it. The documentation also covers Playwright end-to-end testing and synthetic monitoring. Most of the code is MPL 2.0 licensed, while some Azure-specific modules use a BSL license.
