What Bruno is
Bruno is an open-source API client for exploring and testing APIs. Collections are saved as plain text files in a folder on the local filesystem, using a markup language called Bru. Because collections are files, teams share them through Git or another version control system. The application works offline only, and the project states it has no plans for cloud sync. Desktop builds are available for Mac, Windows and Linux through downloads and several package managers. A separate Bruno CLI, installed from npm, runs collections, folders or single requests from the command line for automated testing and CI/CD pipelines. Docker images of the CLI are published for linux/amd64 and linux/arm64.
