What WebDriverAgent is
WebDriverAgent is an iOS implementation of a WebDriver server for remote control of devices. It can launch and kill apps, tap and scroll views, and confirm that a view is on screen. It links XCTest.framework and calls Apple's API to run commands on the device. Both iOS and tvOS are supported, on real devices and on simulators. It implements most of the W3C WebDriver spec and part of the Mobile JSON Wire Protocol spec. USB device support comes from the appium-ios-device library. Appium uses it through the XCUITest driver. The project opens in Xcode, where the WebDriverAgentRunner test starts the server.
