What Pact Ruby is
Pact Ruby is the Ruby implementation of Pact, with an RSpec DSL for writing contract tests. Version 2 is built on pact-ffi and pact-ruby-ffi to support the latest Pact specifications. Consumer tests cover HTTP, gRPC and asynchronous messages such as Kafka, described as JSON or protobuf. Provider verification handles the same transports, with pacts from local files, URLs or a Pact Broker. Under the V4 specification, one pact file can mix interaction types. Prebuilt binary gems cover macOS, Linux with glibc or musl, and 64-bit Windows. Projects that need a pure Ruby gem are advised to stay on version 1.
