What Pact JS is
Pact JS is the Node.js implementation of Pact for consumer-driven contract testing of HTTP and event-driven systems. Consumer tests use the PactV3 class and MatchersV3 helpers to define expected requests and responses against a mock server. Provider tests use the Verifier class to check a running service against pact files. Versions 10 and later support Pact specification versions 2, 3 and 4. The documentation also covers plugins, GraphQL and XML. It ships as the @pact-foundation/pact npm package. From v12 it requires Node 16 or later. Supported platforms include macOS, Linux with glibc or musl, and Windows on x86_64.
