What c8 is
c8 is a code coverage tool for JavaScript that uses the V8 coverage built into Node.js. Its output works with Istanbul's reporters. The CLI wraps a Node.js command and reports coverage for the code that ran. Settings come from command-line flags, a JSON config file such as .c8rc, or a c8 key in package.json. The --all flag adds unloaded source files to the report at zero coverage. Inline or separate source maps remap coverage to original sources such as TypeScript. The check-coverage command fails a run when coverage drops below set thresholds. Special comments exclude lines, blocks or functions from the report. It requires Node.js 12 or later.
